Forum Pronouns?

Subject: Forum Pronouns? Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:00 am

So, some of our members have handles of a different gender than their own, and I'm always thrown for a loop when it comes to pronouns.

For example, our lovely Admin, Yukio, is actually a girl behind that computer, but Yukio is a guy. And saying things like "I was talking to Yukio and she says that Kuro is the best cat ever" is weird. What does everyone else think?

I always find it odd as well (which is why I still refer to Yukio as a "he" even though "he" is a girl >>.)

That's usually what I do, unless the person I'm talking to uses a different pronoun or gender-form of words.

Same... it's really weird when you use one gender for a member, then they use another right after you, so you feel like a moron.
